Maru is a freelance Children’s Book Illustrator and is a self-taught artist who recently transitioned from working as a Human Resource Specialist into an illustrator specializing in illustrations for children. She already illustrated published books for self-publishing authors and publishers across the globe.

She loves working on projects that advocates Diversity, Children with disability, Gender fluidity, and Friendship. Maru firmly believes that topics like these are important aspects and should be discussed to our children. Her illustrations are whimsical, bright, and playful which are loved by parents and their kids.

Most of Maru’s work are created digitally using Photoshop and Procreate. She uses heavily textured brushes in creating her art to have a more natural feel in it. Aside from creating illustrations, she also creates animated gifs using Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
