Vector Graphics

Vector graphics are an increasingly popular and diverse style of digital illustration based on the amalgamation of geometric shapes. In order to create a vector graphic, mathematical equations are used to map out the initial design. These equations are then converted into points and connected by a series of lines and curves, known as vector paths.

Due to the nature of vector graphics, they are incredibly easy to scale to size without compromising on quality. This is because they aren’t made up of pixels, but paths. The edges of each path will stay smooth and clean, no matter what size image is required. This makes them ideal for business logos, allowing them to be resized frequently and used in a range of formats from business cards to billboards.

Another benefit of vector graphics is that each path can be individually edited without affecting the rest of the image. This means that if the requirements of the image change slightly, it can be easily edited while still maintaining the quality of the image.

One of our illustrators, Davies, is particularly talented at creating vector illustrations. Davies specialises in quirky character creation with the use of Adobe Illustrator.
