Disney Colouring Books

Disney Colouring Books UK

Walt Disney has made a world for us that has defined our childhood and has made us believe in fairytales. Starting from Disney princesses in their castles to their admiring knights in shining armour.

Nothing truly spoke or portrayed a picture of a perfect life better than the Walt Disney archives. The characters that Disney created were not only limited to the heroes but Disney villains have had their fair share of fans as well. In addition, the beautiful landscapes of the Disney parks are filled with memorable characters and have turned the Walt Disney Company name into one of the biggest brands in the world.

Since most of us have such fond memories of these characters and stories and also as our children are growing alongside them, wouldn’t it be amazing to get one of those Disney colouring books for yourself or your children?

If you are on the search for such colouring books then look no further. Here I have compiled a list of a few Disney colouring books and talked briefly about them so you get a better idea before purchasing.

So, without wasting any more time, sharpen your coloured pencils and let us get into it.

Review:

The Disneyland Parks colouring book is a paperback edition that comes with 90 images to colour. The book has a lovely cover page to it consisting of Mickey and Minnie Mouse and their wonderful world of Disneyland. The cover is in a combination of white and gold colours with a hint of black and the centre of the book has a big logo of Disneyland.

This fairly new colouring book got released in 2021 by the publisher Igloo Books and is perfect for kids who are ages 6-9 years.

A perfect gift for any Disney lover and speaking for myself, I really enjoyed colouring the book too.

02) Disney Princess – Mixed: The Ultimate Colouring Book

Mammoth Colouring Disney Paperback – 1 May 2018

Disney Princess - Mixed main image

Description:

Looking for a Disney Princess colouring book for your little girl or niece? Well, this is a perfect one to go for as it features from what I could see, the majority (if not all) of the golden girls that Disney have created.

Keep your pencils ready to fill in the outlined princesses in this lovely colouring book and whether you want to sing with Princess Aurora, dance with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, this bumper activity book has it all.

Review:

Disney Princess – Mixed: The Ultimate Coloring Book has a whooping 4.7/5 star rating for its paperback edition. It is quite a big book with 70 pages. (But, the word ‘mammoth’ doesn’t quite suit it as it’s not even an inch thick).

The paper quality is good, however, the illustrations are printed on either side of the page. Thus markers or sharpies don’t work that well due to bleed through – so better to use coloured pencils in my opinion.

A good point to mention is that the pages contain partly coloured pictures, which gives the colourist an idea of the colour scheme they can use.

Overall, it’s a great book for princess loving, little girls and I’d highly recommend it if you don’t want to spend much and still want to surprise your little darlings.

03) Disney Classics Colouring Paperback

A celebration of Disney’s rich collection of unforgettable films and characters from the Walt Disney Archives

Description:

Disney Classics is one fine colouring book by Igloo Books. It helps you celebrate the heritage of Disneyland and its movies. Love Disney? From Dumbo and Bambi to The Lion King and Aladdin, this book is a wonderful collection of unforgettable Disney scenes.

With over 100 magical images in this book, it will help you dive into the wonder that is Disneyland. This retails at an affordable price – great value for what it offers.

Review:

From the moment I saw this book online, I was mind-blown by its beautiful cover. It is made in a combination of black and gold, with a hint of white. The white helps the main elements of the book pop out really well.

This book is a part of a series of premium colouring books that features Disney’s classic characters. It’ll give you many fun hours of colouring and has a high-quality finish which gives you the option of framing any finished pieces once done.

I think it is also a perfect gift for any Disney lover. It is quite substantial and has nice thick papers. There is a range of images from double-page spreads of patterns to individual characters from classics like the Rescuers, Jungle Book, Sleeping Beauty, and the latest like Tangled, Cars and Ratatouille.

This book appears in the children’s category on Amazon but I would say that it is suitable for anyone from around age 8 and upwards.

Overall, it’s an extremely good purchase.

All in all, a pure gem.

Review:

Looking for the cutest colouring book in the history of Disney colouring books? Well, I am sure there isn’t another cute one than this. This book contains 100 mystery colouring pages and these pages are in turn filled with the cutest Disney characters.

Adorable illustrations of Thumper, Dumbo, Michel, and Marie leave you in awe. This is a French edition colouring book that is as amazing as it appears online. It is able to keep engaged for hours and provides a lovely enjoyable time away from the screen.

It is one wonderful book with many different pages whilst at the same time being of great quality and working carefully the colours don’t bleed through.

Overall, I had enormous fun colouring this book but it may look a bit challenging for kids under 12 (but is certainly a great option for adults).

Can the same image be used more than once in a colouring book?

Not ideally, each image is only really intended to be used once but if really necessary, using coloured pencils could allow the erasing of the completed work to allow you to start again although this would take a considerable amount of time and probably not worth it.
